1. A committee of three (3) AMA members with good knowledge of genetics will view each bird entered at all AMA meets before judging to insure that each bird is in the proper class.

2. Classes will be provided for Young Cock, Young Hen, Old Cock, and Old Hen in each of the following classes:

Blue Series:
1.	Black/Dun	(Spread Brown – Intense and Dilute)
2	Pattern Blue/Silver	(Bars, Checks, and T-Pattern – Intense and Dilute)

Brown Series:
3.	Chocolate/Khaki	(Spread Ash Red – Intense and Dilute)
4.	Pattern Brown/Khaki	(Bars, Checks, and T-Pattern – Intense and Dilute)

Ash-Red Series:
5.	Ash-Red/Cream	(Spread Ash Red – Intense and Dilute)
6.	Pattern Ash-Red/Cream	(Bars, Checks, and T-Pattern – Intense and Dilute)

Rare Colors:

All Expressions

(Indigo, Dominant Opal, Almond, Reduced

Qualmond, etc. - Intense and Dilute)

Self Colors:
8.	All Expressions	(Solid Colors, any color)

Grizzle:
9.	All expressions	(Intense and Dilute)

Recessive Red:
10.	Red/Yellow	(Intense and Dilute)

3. After each color class is judged in a given group (YC, YH, OC, OH) all 1^stplace winners will be judged against each other and the best of that age group will be selected by the judge. If the best young hen is a black, the 2^nd place black young hen will be brought back and judged against the other 1^st place class winners for 2^ndBest YH. The reason the 2^nd place YH is brought back is that the Best YH in the show is the only bird that has beaten her. By following this process, the best birds in that age group (YH) will be selected regardless of color. It is possible that the best two or three young hens could all be the same color.

4. The best of each age group selected by the above process (YC, YH, OC, OH) will be judged against each other for Champion Mookee. If the YC is selected as champion, the 2nd Best YC would be brought up against the 3 remaining birds for 1st Reserve Champion. The same process is continued until all reserves are selected. By following this process the very best birds in the show will win the top awards regardless of color.

5. After the Champion and Reserve Champions have been selected, the color class winners will be chosen, using the same process described. If the champion was a black, then it would also be the best black. All reserve winners would also win the respective color awards if not already awarded to a higher placing winner.
