The English Carrier has probably seen its popularity fluctuate more in the United States in the past 100 years than almost any other breed of pigeon. Only through the dedication and loyalty of such great English Carrier Breeders like Harry Granger, and Clair Wright have these birds managed to survive. These men were instrumental in developing, and promoting this most gracious of pigeons when most others didn't care. They started, and kept alive such clubs as the Eastern English Carrier Club, and the Midwest Carrier Club that have been the backbone of the Carrier fancy for years, and have led us into a time when the English Carrier is again experiencing a great resurgence in popularity in this country. Hopefully, this time with the help of the newly formed National English Carrier Club, the English Carrier will continue to grow, and improve in both popularity, and quality to a high that it has never known. Clair Wright alone has sold hundreds of Carriers in the last several years, which can only tell us one thing, and that is our beloved Carriers are on the move, and people are again noticing this monarch of the pigeon world. In the following web pages you will find all the information pertaining to the National English Carrier Club, and what we as a club hope to accomplish for the English Carrier fancy. This website was developed to better aid our members, and other interested parties in understanding our clubs goals, responsibilities, and how our club operates. Our sole purpose and function is to promote, and perfect the English Carrier, and the Carrier fancy to the best of our abilities, and to hopefully make the English Carrier and our club a dominating force in the modern pigeon world. The forth coming information should be used as a guide by all club members in their struggle to attain these goals. You will find our club rules and principles in our Constitution and By-Laws. The English Carrier standard of perfection is what our birds should be modeled after, and a Master Breeder Points Program that will be used to honor, and recognize the most skilled of Carrier Breeders. I am optimistic that with the good fellowship that exists in our club, and the devotion, and hard work from all our members that all of our ideas and dreams will soon become reality. We are all striving for one thing and that’s the betterment of our most beloved Carriers and the perfection of one of the most outstanding birds in the world today. Let’s all unite worldwide into one formidable force, with one goal in mind and that should be to make the English Carrier Americas number one breed, not just another pigeon that we see at shows now and then. I'd like to wish everyone a long and prosperous stay in our fine club and personally welcome everyone to the greatest club in America, the National English Carrier Club.
