If you obtain birds that are better than the ones you have don’t mix them into your birds. Sure, you will improve the quality of the ones you had but you will also lower the quality of the ones you brought in. If the new birds are better than the ones you have then either get rid of your old ones or use them as foster parents to breed more babies from the better ones.
