RELEASE POLICY
Birds will not be sold or leased for self release. All our releases are done by, or supervised by a trained professional who will show up on time, dressed in proper attire. To ensure a showy flight display, snow-white homing pigeons from the Columbidae family of birds, which also includes doves, are used in our releases. (The smaller white ring-neck doves or other white domestic pigeons are used for display purposes only). These birds are highly intelligent and are bred for their ability to home from long distances. We go to great lengths to properly care for and train our birds for every flight. Each bird is also banded with a registered seamless ring on its leg for identification purposes, aiding in getting lost or injured birds back home to their perch.
Birds will not be released indoors or at night but only when sufficient day light hours allow a reasonable time for them to safely return home.
Birds will not be released in inclement weather such as heavy rains, hail, severe winds, thunderstorms or acts of God. In the event Winged Angels determines to cancel a 100% refund would be given. In the event that you the customer would decide to cancel within 30 days of the scheduled event a 25% assessment fee will be retained from your refund.
Winged Angels can not be responsible should your photographer fail to capture the release on film, however, we pledge to work closely with them assisting in the process.
Winged Angels cannot guarantee what direction the birds will go, how long they will engage the release area or how visible the birds will be after the release. These often are determined by the terrain, prevailing winds and obstructions to flight. However, our birds are well trained and our release professions do what they can to compensate for these variables. With over 20 years of experience caring for, handling & training birds of flight you can expect a professional white dove release.
