My name is Jeff Hankey, and I live in the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri. I raise, and competitively show Voorburg Shield Croppers, Brunner Pouters, and English Carriers. I also breed Schmalkaden Mooreheads, and a few other less commonly seen pouter/cropper pigeon breeds.

I have also decided to add a few bantam Cochins in silver and golden laced, and a few Wyandotte bantams in blue laced red, and white. All which can be seen in the miscellaneous link.

The cropper/pouter pigeon breeds are my favorites with there wonderful temperaments, trusting nature, and lively personalities. Once seen in a show room, most people would agree that most of the pouter/cropper breeds are truly the worlds greatest show birds!!!

The English Carriers are truly the KING of Pigeons. They are excellent parents, and come in a wide variety of colors and patterns. Compared to most breeds the English Carrier can be a bit wild, and flighty in the loft, but when one places a quality English Carrier in a show pen with the proper station, reach, outlook, head, beak, and wattle structure you will be hooked as I am!!!!

All of my pigeons and bantams come from excellent bloodlines, and my pigeons have done well at many major shows.

 I belong to the National Pigeon Association, National Pouter & Cropper Club, Central Cropper & Pouter Club, American Friends of the Brunner Cropper Club, Voorburg Shield Cropper Club, National English Carrier Club, Life-time member of the National Classic Old Frill Club, Iowa State Pigeon Association, Cochins International, and of course my local all breed pigeon club the St. Louis Metropolitan Pigeon Fanciers Association. I encourage anyone to join any of these great clubs. I’m very active in some of these clubs mentioned, and many of these clubs websites or contact information can be found on the links page.

 Here in the St. Louis, MO area we are fortunate enough to have a local pigeon club the St. Louis Metropolitan Pigeon Fanciers Association (SLMPFA) with members who are very knowledgeable in the care, breeding and showing of various types of pigeons. I would like to thank SLMPFA members Perry Mueller and Gordon Baumes for their help in the construction of my first loft.
